Andrew Economos, Esq. (Of Counsel)

Andrew “Andy” J. Economos is an experienced Family Law practitioner. He has practiced before Judges in nearly every county in New Jersey and most frequently practices in Ocean, Monmouth, Passaic, Essex, Union, Middlesex, and Somerset counties.

Andy specializes in all aspects of divorce, including custody, alimony, child support, parenting time, and equitable distribution of assets and liabilities. In addition, he practices in all aspects of post-judgment litigation, including modifications of custody, child support, parenting time, and alimony. Andy also represents clients involved in domestic violence disputes, both those defending against a restraining order and those seeking to obtain one.

Andy is a New Jersey Superior Court certified Mediator and finds fulfillment in helping parties resolve their marital disputes amicably and efficiently. He has served as an expert panelist in the Early Settlement Program at the Middlesex County court. This program invites respected and qualified family law attorneys to volunteer their time and guides litigants and their attorneys to successfully resolve their divorce litigation.

Andy has been recognized by Super Lawyers, Rising Star (see footnote) for several years, which is awarded to no more than 2.5% of attorneys in the state.

Andy started his journey into law by earning his Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law. He volunteered at the Essex County Public Defender’s Office through the Center for Social Justice Pro Bono Program at his alma mater. He gained experience serving as a judicial intern at  Essex County Family Court before serving as a judicial law clerk to the Hon. Richard C. Camp, J.S.C (Ret.), Chancery Division, Family Part, Essex County. Since his judicial clerkship, Andy’s career has been dedicated to divorce and family law, and he shares his knowledge by delivering lectures and seminars in this area. He teaches courses in Paralegal Studies at the Institute of Paralegal Studies.

He is a proud member of the Union County Bar Association, New Jersey State Bar Association, as well as the Jamesburg-Monroe Chamber of Commerce. As a member of the Juvenile Conference Committee in Woodbridge Township, Andy is involved in his local community by hearing cases involving juveniles facing delinquency charges under the Family Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey jurisdiction.

Andy’s greatest pride is his family. He is the husband of a special education teacher and a smiling father of two young children who fill his life with joy.
