Elizabeth Vinhal, Esq.
Elizabeth Vinhal, Esq. earned her Juris Doctorate from Seton Hall University School, her master’s degree in counseling psychology from New York University, and her B.A. from Boston College. Prior to joining Schultz & Associates, Ms. Vinhal practiced exclusively in Divorce & Family Law as a partner at the law firm of Schwartz Vinhal & Lomurro Family Law, LLC, located in Union County, New Jersey.
In addition, she was the Editor-in-Chief of the Morris Lawyer, Morris County Bar Association’s legal newsletter, and has been an editor of the New Jersey Family Lawyer, a prestigious family law publication for several years. She has had numerous legal case law decisions published such as Donnelly v. Donnelly, 405 N.J. Super. 117 (App.Div.2009) , Comparato v. Schait, 180 N.J. 90 (2004) and Poluhovich v Pellerano, 373 N.J. Super 310 (App. Div. 2004). She has also authored several articles, including but not limited to Stepparents: The Unexpected Impact They Can Have On the Primary Parent’s Decisions Regarding the Children (New Jersey Family Lawyer Magazine, 2011), Involuntary Loss of Employment in this “New Economy”: A Temporary Change of Circumstance or the Basis for Modification? (New Jersey Family Lawyer Magazine, 2010) and Parental Alienation: The Quandary Lawyers and Judges Face (New Jersey Family Lawyer Magazine, 2007).
Ms. Vinhal is a court-approved mediator and has been appointed by the Superior Court of New Jersey as a Guardian Ad Litem and parent coordinator in high conflict matters. In her spare time, she enjoys being an adjunct professor at Seton Hall University School of Law teaching a family law mediation course which obviously is very relevant to her work as a matrimonial law attorney.
Ms. Vinhal is married and has 3 children and 2 dogs. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, paddle boarding, and hiking with her dogs.
